Orientation Camp
Volunteers will arrive at one port of entry and that is – THE ACCRA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, ACCRA. Volunteers will be received by the National Committee members and a team of coworkers and be sent directly to the venue of the orientation camp. The camp will last for 5 or 6 days. The goal of this camp is to introduce to volunteers the voluntary service experience in the host country. It includes a language course in Twi, culture, customs and practical tips for the volunteers. This camp is compulsory for all Volunteers
MID - Year Camp
This camp is also compulsory for all Volunteers, and the goal of the midterm evaluation is to:
• Access the volunteers learning halfway through the voluntary service period.
• Provide space for the volunteers to share experiences with other volunteers from different projects.
• Discuss problems or conflicts and brainstorm on solutions
• Enable volunteers to develop a plan of action for the remaining half of the year
Final evaluation camp
The goal of the final evaluation is to:
• Give the volunteers time and space to reflect on their learning experience in the host country.
• It’s also the time to review, recognize and celebrate the volunteer’s achievement.
• An evaluation of the year is taken to improve the voluntary programme.
